Ordering banh cuon could not be any easier when using their app! I'm so sad that I waited so long to finally try this place. I was pretty skeptical about the "aesthetics" of the food but I was really craving for good banh cuon and this place definitely delivered! Via the app, we got a good deal for two sets. Also ordered the lychee lemonade and salty kumquat lemonade and they were both so good! Will definitely be coming back soon for my fixing. Ordered about 10:30am on a weekday so my food was ready pretty quick so I don't have much input on the service. Since it was also early in the morning, parking was also not difficult in the plaza.
Yum! Very delicious Vietnamese spot! Parking can be difficult since it's located inside a busy plaza and the parking structure is shared with other businesses but there is underground parking. Service was ok, nothing special Pricing was pretty reasonable ($15-20) and their Banh Cuomo (rice crepes) sets came in a super cute box! There were also rice plates and noodles dishes! Loved the variety they have! Got their Tay Ho Banh Cuon Set ($18.50) came with rice crepes, pork & mushroom rolls, ground shrimp rolls, Vietnamese ham, and shrimp & sweet potato fritter. The crepes and rolls were sooo delicious and freshly made! So flavorful and not too overly salty. The shrimp rolls were pretty good but a little dry. The sweet potato fritter was super good and crispy! The dipping sauce was so tasty and paired perfectly with the rolls. This set was 9/10 for me Would totally recommend and return
Service is great, and to go packaging is very impressive. The store is currently running a promo, if you download their app, you can get $10 off your first purchase of $20. That's basically a BOGO! Would I go back? Well... I have higher expectations for this place because my family used to make the drive out to Westminster for Tay Ho 2, just to get the banh coun with the sweet potato!! It was THAT GOOD! So I was super hyped hearing they were opening one in SGV! Finally got a chance to try it today and well... I feel obligated to really dissect this dish... I got the #2 set which is the ground pork with woodear mushroom noods. Comes with 6 slices of meat loaf and 3 sweet potato. 1. House Sauce Nước chấm was perfect! They got the sweetness the garlic, all the flavors are there! 2. Crispy shallots are indeed true crispy shallots! They keep it separated so it stays crispy longer. 3. Fried Sweet potatoes - 100% would go back just for this! 4. The noodle itself was perfect, just the right consistency and texture. 5. Meat loaf - slightly, only slightly disappointing. It's more soft in texture so doesn't really give that nostalgic bite. I wonder if it's made in house? If it is, that's impressive! 6. Here's where it gets not so great and was what the dish's is suppose to be known for. The pork and woodear mushrooms crashed and burned.... I was so disappointed... The ground pork texture is dry and gives a mealy mouth feel. The woodear mushrooms mustn't have been soaked long enough because the texture was equivalent to biting into cartilage. At the end of the day, I would still go back and order it again because I really do want them to be good enough so I don't have to make that hr drive all the time! However; my review today based solely on the pork and woodear banh coun. I would go back for fried sweet potato hash, but pick up banh coun from banh mi che Cali.
This place is pretty dang good! If I lived nearby, I would probably stop by once a week. I got the Banh Mi Cha Lua and Banh Cuon Special. The sandwich was delicious. The bread has more bounce than the usual banh mi bread. The materials inside were really good too. The Banh Cuon was delicious as well. They gave me a mix of fried sweet potato, egg roll, sausage, steamed cha lua, fried cha lua, banh cuon with carrots, plain banh cuon, and banh cuon with ground meat. Dip everything in the sauce and I was loving it. At first, I was skeptical of this place being any good. I only stopped by because they were one of the very few banh mi shops open past 7pm and I wanted to bring something back home since I was in the area. When I walked inside, it was really clean and set up sorta like a fast food restaurant, rather than your typical rundown banh mi deli. The girl at the counter was nice and friendly too. I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
I saw a lot of great reviews from Yelp, and being curious about this place. This place seemed pretty new to me. The cashier is very friendly and patient. She explained the difference between sandwiches with east and west influences. I bought the BBQ pork with west influence. The meat was very flavorful and tender. The vegetable is fresh and it matched well with the meat. I also ordered a ube coffee. The ube flavor stood out, and the coffee was not super strong, which made the two a perfect match. My mouth is watering as I am writing about that. I will come back for more food and coffee. There are underground parking space available. Parking is easy.
what do you mean you can get a giant banh mi filled with like a pound of meat and get pho broth to dip like au jus. like i'm not kidding when i say this was the best banh mi i've ever had. and for $8.95 in this economy. thank you.
I order here sometimes for big party orders. The food is pretty authentic Vietnamese cuisine. I really like the banh cuon set, the ham and fish cake are really good with the tay Ho sauce. Service is pretty fast and friendly. I like that they provide complimentary reusable Tay Ho bags! Very convenient and stylish. The ambiance is just kind of a small store. People usually just order takeout and don't really dine in. But it's pretty clean and simple. Food is decently priced too! On uber eats it's BOGO!
My first review in 2025 goes to Tay Ho! I adored this place! I came here back to back. There is just something about LA Viet food that always seems to taste better than Vancouver. Lol! Anyway, this place specialized in banh cuon and they do it so well. Super thin and generous fillings and their fish sauce goes well with it. My hope is that they should be a little warmer, they usually served it not as warm. Their coffees were amazing! I had both ube and pandan Vietnamese coffee. They were not too sweet but I will ask them to go easy on the ice. Their grilled pork spring rolls were made fresh and complemented their orange sauces. Service was friendly and accommodating! And I love their utensils (a nice kit with good quality chopsticks and spoon) Highly recommended for easy lunches or dinner for one!
Tay Ho has been a place I've been meaning to try. I got the Tay Ho Bach cuon set. And my mom got the lemongrass chicken with garlic noodles set. I really liked my Bach cuon set. All the options were very good. And surprisedly I liked the shrimp and sweet potato fritter. I liked that there was a lot of variety in the set with the fritter, egg roll and Bach cuon. My mom got the lemongrass chicken with garlic noodles. My mom and I were a bit disappointed that the lemongrass chicken tasted more like teriyaki than lemongrass. Other than that, the chicken was good. The garlic noodles were flavorful. I would definitely go back and like to try other things.
